Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you submit a bid or configure a listing on our leaderboard, we collect the public metadata associated with your entry:

• Public X/Twitter @handle and profile identifiers.
• Brand name, description, category, and target website URL.
• Outbound click logs and statistical tracking for leaderboard ranks.

🔒 Placement payments are handled directly by our secure third-party payment processors. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card or sensitive billing credentials.

2. How We Use Your Data

The metadata you provide is used solely to run and display the RankHeist rankings board:

• To build and render the public rankings on our leaderboard.
• To route users to your landing pages and increment click counters.
• To verify payment events via secure checkout webhooks and credit the correct handles.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your submission metadata (handles, tagline, URL) is, by design, shared publicly on the site leaderboard. Underlying checkout operations are processed securely via:

• Secure Payment Processors: Transaction handling and billing verification.
• Neon Database: Server database storage and configuration cache.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies and local storage tokens to preserve session states (e.g. tracking unique outbound clicks to prevent bot manipulation). We do not run invasive cross-site advertisement trackers.

5. Data Retention

Leaderboard profile metadata is retained for as long as your entry remains active on the leaderboard database. If you wish to delete your handle or update your placement details, please contact us at hello@rankheist.lol.

6. Data Controller & Contact

Rank Heist is a project of HOUSE OF 79, built by K S Deepak. For any inquiries regarding data privacy, account queries, or database update/removal requests, please contact us at hello@rankheist.lol.
